Psalm 1 isn’t really a prayer at all. What it really is, is a call to prayer, more than this, a primal call to a prayerful life, an ancient call reminding us that a spiritual, fruitful, and meaningful life grows like a tree slowly, imperceptibly, invisibly, nourished constantly by fertile soil and life-giving water of God’s word.
